Phil Dick, Chair, CPG Board of Directors
Phil joined the Board of Directors at Caring Partners Global in 2012. He is an Economic Development professional in the employ of the Ontario Government Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) for 30 years. Prior to joining the civil service, he held progressive management positions in the AgriFood sector. Phil has practiced economic development on five continents and is a regular participant on inter-ministry and inter-governmental teams related to Climate Change, circular processing, and infrastructure.
Sylvia Scott, President and Co-Founder CPG Board of Directors and Director MCHDP Board of Directors, Matangwe
Sylvia was born and raised in a rural Kenyan Village, near Lake Victoria. She’s a Canadian trained and now retired Registered Nurse with over 36 years of clinical and senior corporate leadership experience in Canada. She and her husband co-founded Caring Partners Global, as well as the Matangwe Community Health and Development Programme. Sylvia has a vision for a better future for Matangwe and is a staunch advocate of building sustainable development practices in Matangwe.
Glenn Pascoe, Treasurer, CPG Board of Directors
Glenn has been a member of the Board of Directors at Caring Partners Global since 1996, and has been the treasurer for all that time. He is a retired secondary school science teacher with 33 years experience. For 25 of those years, he was the Head of the Science Department in a high school with the responsibility to develop curriculum and to supervise and administer a staff of 13 science teachers. He also managed a group of parent volunteers for 40 years, who prepared, cleared, and flooded a community ice rink.
Ron Bell, Chair Education Program, CPG Board of Directors
Ron has been a member of the Board of Directors at Caring Partners Global since 2004. He initiated CPG’s Student Sponsorship Program in 2006 with the sponsorship of 15, Kenyan, secondary school students. Ron taught science at Cameron Heights Collegiate in Kitchener, Ontario for 30 years. During those years he was the head coach of the school’s senior football team and coached the school hockey team periodically for about 5 years. In 2019, he was the only teacher chosen for the school’s inaugural “50-Year Wall of Fame”
